Who we are
Akravo is an AI visibility optimization agency founded by Fabian van Til. We help businesses get recommended by AI platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
What data we collect
We collect personal data through the following channels:
- Contact forms: your name, email address, company name, and any message you send us.
- Cal.com bookings: your name, email, and scheduling details when you book a discovery call.
- Stripe payments: billing information, payment method details, and transaction history. Stripe processes payments on our behalf. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Supabase analytics: page views, referral sources, and session data to understand how visitors use our site.
- Automatic data: your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited. Vercel, our hosting provider, collects this as part of standard web hosting.
How we use your data
We use your data to respond to your inquiries, schedule and deliver our services, process payments, improve our website, and send relevant updates about our services when you have opted in. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies
Our site uses a small number of cookies. Essential cookies keep the site working properly (session management, locale preferences). Analytics cookies help us understand site usage through Supabase. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work without them, though some features may be limited.
Third-party services
We rely on the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Cal.com handles appointment scheduling. When you book a call, Cal.com processes your name, email, and chosen time slot.
- Stripe processes all payments. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant and handles your payment information securely.
- Supabase provides our analytics and database infrastructure. Analytics data is stored in the EU.
- Vercel hosts our website. Vercel processes server logs including IP addresses and request data.
GDPR compliance
Akravo serves clients in the European Union and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our lawful bases for processing personal data are: consent (for marketing communications), contract performance (for service delivery and payments), and legitimate interest (for analytics and site improvement). If you are in the EU, you have the rights listed below.
Your rights
Under GDPR and applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your personal data when there is no legitimate reason for us to keep processing it.
- Data portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Restriction: ask us to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest or for direct marketing purposes.
Data retention
We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months after the last interaction. Payment records are kept for 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations. Analytics data is anonymized after 26 months. When a retention period expires, we delete or anonymize the data.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure hosting infrastructure, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will post the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
